STARS Forum invites you to participate in a one-day Confluence to discuss the “Future of Skills Development and Livelihoods”. Skill development, self-employment, job creation are key focus areas to address the needs of economy and society. The Confluence will evaluate where we are, what the future holds for us and how to prepare for this future.
During the second half of the day, the Confluence will deliberate upon “Building the Social Enterprise for the Future“. What new opportunities are likely to be created? Role of startups in this space. How does one leverage various government programs and schemes is critical to make progress – the Confluence will evaluate what is working well, what is not, and what changes are required/planned to make them work better.
Invitees include – Government representatives, Thought Leaders and NGOs in the Skill Development sector, Authorised Vocational Training Providers, CSR Executives, and Consultants in the NGO sector.

Panelists: Mahesh Ranade (CEO, Yuvaparivartan), Ganesh Neelam (Tata Trusts), Pradnya Godbole (CEO, deAsra), BR Venkatesh (Entrepreneurship trainer/mentor), Ashok Kalbag (Vigyan Ashram), 1:00pm to 2:00pm : Lunch and networking 2:00pm to 3:30pm : Building The Social Enterprise of the Future - Make in Rural India, Startups in the Village, Leveraging government schemes – issues and opportunities, what is working, what is changing. Panelists: Dr. Premnath V (Director, Venture Center), Laxmikant Malvadkar (MD, Sakhi Social Enterprise Network), Dr Kamalasanan Pillai (Research Scientist), Vivek Sinare (Consultant) 3:30pm to 3:45pm : Tea break 3:45pm to 4:45pm : Open Spaces (parallel group discussions on topics suggested by participants). 4:45pm to 5:00pm : Closing session – Feedback from participants on format, content; Suggestions for next Confluence of Leaders meeting.
